New App Features! Quick Post Checker and Match-Ups!

New Coupon Database App

**Update: Be sure to go to the App store and download the latest version of the Coupon Database to get all the new features.  The old version will no longer work so hitting “update” on the screen will not work.  You can leave a comment or email me directly if you have a question.

I am excited to tell you about the NEW App Features that are on the Coupon Database by Lady Savings!  In this post I will tell you about the “Quick Post Check” and “Matchups”  If you don’t have the app yet, you can read a tutorial on how to use the coupon database app or get started by getting the  Custom Coupon Database!

The first new feature is the “Quick Post Check” or “Post Teaser”.  This will show you the latest posts from  Simply click on the post if you want to read to be taken to it.

Post Checker

The second (and most exciting in my opinion) is the ability to go thru the Giant Eagle Matchup and create your own personal list and have the list emailed to you!  (We do not collect emails – this email is sent from you, to you)

Click on “Matchups” on the main to get started.  Next you will need to select a store. Right now we only offer Giant Eagle, but I may be offering additional stores in the future. If there is a particular  store that you would like to see added, send me an email and let me know! (tammy @ lady – remove spaces).

You then will select which match-up you would like to view.  The newest matchup will be at the top.

Giant Eagle Store

Simply scroll thru the deals (this particular ad has 126) and tap to highlight the deals you want to add to your list.  You can see below that I did not select the Honey-Nut Cheerios deal since the square border is not highlighted.

Giant Eagle Deal

The Sister Schubert rolls deal below is highlighted (since I tapped it) and will be added to the list. The square border is now green.  If you decide that you do not want a deal that you highlighted, you can simply tap again to unhighlight it.  Once you select everything that you want added to your list, click on “Send Email”.

Selected Deal

The “Send Email” button will bring up and email with all of the deals you selected.  If you have any non-deal items that you want to be sure not to forget (milk, eggs, meat, etc.), just type them on the email before sending.  Add the email address of where you want the deals sent and click “Send Email”.  Again – we do not collect your email address in any way.

You will receive an email similar to the one below (these are the deals that I chose for my shopping list).  Don’t worry – it will be larger, I just shrunk it down to fit on the post 🙂  You’ll be able to print the coupons from your computer straight from your email and even print out the list if you want!

Right now only the Giant Eagle Ad Matchups are listed, but we may add the Unadvertised Giant Eagle Matchups in the future.

*The new version has one issue that I didn’t catch 🙂  When updating the database, you won’t be able to see what version you have.  It only takes a second to update so if you think you have an older version, just hit “update”.

Let me know if you have any questions or comments!

  1. The APP is amazing and very easy. Thank you so much, this makes it so much easier on my iphone then having to run to the computer to do everything. Now I can be out and just pull out my phone and do a post check to look at all the post teasers and match-ups. Sincerely grateful!

  2. any plans for an android app down the line? I think I asked on here before or maybe I didn’t. don’t know whether I’m coming or going these days. anyway, thanks! you’re site has been a real help! keep up the great work!

  3. I love the app I use it every week – but the last two- my app is not updating- still on 2/12 – i have hit the update button i have deleted the app and re-loaded – nothing has helped- hopefully you have some insight.

    • Hi Jaime! Thanks for letting me know! My husband is updating the app right now with this week’s match ups. The Unadvertised deals aren’t done yet for the blog but once I get them on the blog I will have him update the app. I don’t know how they slipped by us like that!

    • No – We took the app out of the app store. Those who already had it download still have access to it but since we are no longer updating it, it would mostly be used to quickly get to the blog (that’s how I use it when I’m not at home).
