Good timing for us. My husband has taken over the grocery shopping. He is trying to figure out which things tend to be a better deal at Walmart, and also Aldi and making a price list. I used to love Giant Eagle, but I feel like the coupon restrictions and the catalinas not going by sale price are just making for too much trouble.

Yes, I like to see the Walmart deals. I don’t stop in there to often, but if I saw a reason to I could swing in while running other errands. I only shop the sales at Giant Eagle and with the double coupons they cant be beat. The only thing I do not like GE for is produce because of their prices. Aldi is a little far to go for produce. Can’t wait for the warmer weather for reasonable priced fruits and veggies.
I never have luck trying to get deals at WM. Prices vary too much or an item is not there at all. I usually get frustrated and give up. At least at GE you know that their prices are always the same and they carry the same stock most of the time. I also have been getting some products at Aldi. Their basic produce items can’t be beat on price. Their variety of produce is a lot less but most of the time not needed.
I find alot of items at Walmart are not there if there’s a coupon out there to be had and the price is good–Razors for example–I went over and over and over, asked a clerk–she said they’re on order–came back each week before the coupon expired–still no razors that matched the coupon–then about 3-4 months later they pulled the tag from the shelf–I don’t like Walmart, other than to buy kitty litter or something because the people in there make me crazy and I hate they’re always out of things–
I love these match-ups! I also can’t stand Wal*Mart, but if there are enough good deals out there, it might be worth the trip. I’ve had the same experience with them being completely sold out of an item (or 2 or 3) because of a good coupon being out, but I’ve also had some pretty good luck with money-makers. It’s defintely hit or miss, so it’s nice to have a match-up! Thanks!
Ohh, and the pregnancy tests at the dollar store are the best! I can’t believe people pay upwards of $15 for one at other retailers! It’s a color-changing piece of paper! It certainly doesn’t need to be high-tech!
I don’t shop at WalMart. I find their business practices & how they treat their employees deplorable. I’ll go anywhere for a good deal EXCEPT WalMart! So I pretty much stick with Giant Eagle & the drugstores. Love love love the GE match-ups!
Love the Walmart deals! IT can be hit or miss, but most of the time, I have good luck price matching there. Some of the cashiers aren’t friendly and the managers are even worse at times, but it can be worth it if you only have to go to one store! Thanks, Tammy!!
