Eggs – Healthy Way to Save Money on Meals!

Eggs are a Frugal Way to have a healthy breakfast, lunch or dinner!   Lately eggs have been really cheap – We’ve seen them for only 45¢ at Giant Eagle after SavingStar Deposit and as low as 88¢ at Kroger!

To save on your monthly grocery bill, you could have Breakfast for Dinner once or twice a week!  Make an omelet and throw in whatever you have on hand.  Freeze leftover ham, onions, peppers and more beforehand to save time!  This is great for those nights when you don’t have much time to cook – and can help stop you from ordering a pizza :)

I was reading the Health Benefits of Eggs which is one of those short and to-the-point articles (Love that!) and it seems that eggs are healthier than I thought!

They have a typo in this article that Cracked me up :) …little things amuse me!  I’m thinking a man wrote the article (you’ll see what I mean when you find the mistake).
*Update – it’s looks like they corrected their typo…for those that missed it, on the page where they talk about eggs and breast cancer, they misspelled the word “six”….after looking at the picture, you can guess what word they spelled – lol:)  I’m not writing it here….trying to keep my site family friendly ;)  I guess it made me laugh since I just knew a man had to be writing this article!

(Thanks Cha Cha for picture)

Great tip. However I believe it’s important to check where these eggs come from. I only buy organic and cage free eggs, even though I’m on a tight budget. My neighbors have their own chickens in their backyard and can’t use all the eggs by themselves, so we usually barter fresh eggs and produce from my garden. Bartering is such a great way to save money. I also use barterquest.com. Not for food, but for almost anything else: clothes, vacations, concert tickets, books, etc. The list is endless!

Thanks for the comment Jamelia! I love how you barter for things – great idea! I’ve never heard of that website, I’ll have to check it out:)
