For the Snyder Pretzels deal at Giant Eagle starting tomorrow, does anyone know if the Saving Star deposit of $5 off of $15 will go by shelf price or sale price? I have only used these coupons when it’s based on a quantity purchased, so I’m not sure how it will work in this case. And if it is sale price, does that mean $2.50 or after instant savings, so $2.00? If you stack manufacturer coupons with the purchase, would that reduce the amount or no? Thanks so much!

10 Tammy May 16, 2012 at 9:01 pm

Hi Carli – I just updated the Snyder’s Deal. I’m guessing that it will go off the price of $2.50 so you’ll need to buy 6….that’s just my best guess though:)

The Vlasic coupons in my area from 4/1 state do not double. GE did not double them the last time they had a Vlasic promotion.

Reply

12 Tammy May 16, 2012 at 9:02 pm

Linda – mine doubled just fine but thanks for the heads up! For those that are afraid that theirs won’t double, maybe just buy 1 to see if it does for you:)

Hey! Could someone please tell me how the saving star works? I have been on it for over a year and still haven’t gotten my amazon gift card. it is under my payouts but i never got an email or anything for it. i’m confused! :-) ! Thanks!!

Reply

26 Tammy May 20, 2012 at 8:47 pm

Naomi – Both times I cashed out I used paypal and was able to see it added to my account. I’m not sure how they do the Amazon GiftCards. I would assume that they just send an email with a code, but I’m not sure. I would contact them and let them know that you haven’t received it yet. If anyone else used Amazon can they tell us if it was an emailed code or an actual gift card that came in the mail?

Hi Tammy. Saw on Hip2save that there is a “Tyson Says Thanks Mom Salon Rebate”. Through 6/30, if you buy 3 packages of Tyson Chicken Strips, you could enter the UPC codes and print a rebate form. If you mail the form and your original receipts to the address given, you will get a FREE Salon Treatment! This would go nicely with the above deal on the Tyson Chicken. The link is :http://tysonsaysthanksmom.com/

Thanks for all you do! You are the best Giant Eagle site! God bless!

If you received a Family Dollar ad in your Sunday paper, there is a $5/$25 coupon on the front page. Also, the GFS ad has a $5/$50 coupon. I’ve used Family Dollar Q’s at GE before without an issue. I never tried using a GFS one yet. Here’s my question: Can I do multiple transactions equaling $25 and use more then 1 Family Dollar coupon per day/visit? I know GE vary on the rules concerning competitors coupons. I was just wondering if anyone has done this before.

Thanks

29 Amy B May 21, 2012 at 11:30 am

Hi Holly – I have used two of the $5/25 Family Dollar Qs in one transaction – as long as the total is over $50 total, you can use them both. At least, that is how it has worked for me … if you want to stack, then the total purchase price has to be equal to the added totals on the coupons … kwim? I printed the Family Dollar ones out & plan on using them to save $10 this week! :-)

30 Holly May 21, 2012 at 2:20 pm

Hi Amy-Thanks for the info :) The GE by nearest to my house, Aliquippa, PA, will only accept competitors coupons that are found in the papers or delivered by mail. They will not accept IP or catalinas from other stores. I might ask the cashier or customer service what is acceptable with the Family Dollar coupons. It get confusing sometimes since every GE seems to be different. I wish they would just implement a a policy concerning competitor’s coupons and take the guess work out of it.

Just a note on the Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce it is the 18oz bottles that are 2/$3 at my store and the 50% more free (28oz) bottles were marked more expensive on the shelf. However, there was a store display that had th 50% more free 28oz bottles as 2/$3 and they rang up right :-) just an fyi.
